UPDATE w/ PIC: Help! Is this a good deal on a ring????

Went to Whitehall... looking at a platinum band with 1/2 ct diamonds .... orginally 1500... I would get for 750...

UPDATE: Got my ring!!
Can i wear it now? I'll try to post a pic

That sounds like a great deal. The white gold ones i've seen are about 500-650, so that sounds reasonable.

for platinum that sounds really good, try comparing to Blue Nile, supposedly they have the best prices bc they only deal through the internet.

I think that is good. I gues it depends on the quality of diamonds. The platinum wedding band I wanted, I think I was quoted $1700 for .70 carats, colorless and good clarity. I don't think you will be able to find Platinum any cheaper or even near that price.

they are such small diamonds that i dont think that quality would even matter... i think with the band, with platinum at least, you're paying more for the metal.... but ill def have to ask about the specs on the diamonds

blue nile wants like 2100 for the ring im looking at... although im sure the diamonds must be much better from bluenile for that kinda price...

Mine is white gold with 3/4 CT diamonds and it's $750

so i'm thinking platinum for the same price is a great deal if you love it go for it you will be wearing it forever after all

I don't think you can beat that price and I am sure the diamond quality is good. Platinum is just crazy expensive, but I want my band to match my e-ring..Ugh!!

so do i chica! i would have liked to just go with white gold.... but i heard over time you can tell the diff between the 2 esp when wearing them together... if i was doin the ering on the other hand, we wouldnt have a prob here LOL

alright... i think im gonna go back there and get it... FH needs to go back anyways... hes exchanging his for a thicker band... i think hes more picky than i am LOL

I am so mad...I wish I would have went there to check out the rings when everyone first started to post about them. Congrats girl!!!
