UPDATE WITH PICS:It Poured on a Sunny day!
My shower was yesterday and had a ball. TOTAL Surprise lol. Oriignally I was suspicious because anytime when the date is nearing for the big day and people uncharcteristically ask you to come out, you wonder 'what-if?' But their cover was get this, that a friend of mine who survved childhood cancer, was giving a speech at a cancer awarness function! SNEAKS!
I almost didnt go lol because I was sick which threw them into a flurry and she called me giving me this cockamaine story (which turne dout to be mostly true) about how she'd bought her b/f a bunny and he flipped out because what grown man needs a bunny (that was all true ironically) and that he wouldnt be going to the function. (that wasn't true cause there was NO function :) )
So anyway I went because I wanted to support her and there were more things thrown at me like dinner for Dads day later in the day and a bbq next week that my FH hinted could be my shwoer. So Im all confused but STILL suspicious till the kicker; my best friend and MOH MADE A FLYER for this 'event' lmao that she showed me and I felt like SUCH AN A$$ for having thought it was about me. So by the time we got there, I was convinced. It wasn't about me. Of course it was almost blown at the last possible second when we were asked by the maitre D if we were there for the 'breast cancer Function' and I looked at my MOH who ran ahead like 'what? Jessie, Sheila ddidnt' ahve breast cancer, she had lukem...' I didn't get a chance to finish my thought because everyone yelled surprise.
It was great. Love everyone who came. Thanks so much folks-will post some pics later.
