UPDATED AGAIN!! update on library for engagement shoot...

Okay so remember I posted a few weeks back about wanting to take engagement pictures in or around a library since that is where FH and I first met?

Well apparently the NYC public library will only let you take engagement pictures there if you are having your reception there, so that was out.

BUT

I took matilde suggestion and am waiting for a response from the Jefferson Market Brach which is one of the oldest and most beautiful libraries in the city AND they have an entire garden attached to it!

Here take a look!

Jefferson Market Library Garden

Please keep your fingers crossed for me! This would be so awesome if it worked out!

SOOOOOOOO I got an email back from the woman in charge of bookings and she said that we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing is we can't take pictures inside the library but I don't mind, at least it will be in the background! I guess I could bring a book with me to use as a prop too if I really wanted

I can't tell you how excited I am right now! I can't wait to talk to my photographer and settle on a date!

Thank for not letting me give up on this one girls!

Good luck...oh and btw to NYC public library...who made that rule up why would anyone take their engagment pics at the same place they're getting married...what's the pt? makes no sense to me.

not sure yet. I just got the confirmation that we're allowed to do it from the people in charge of the garden today so now I have to talk to my photographer about it and decide on a date and then submit the paperwork for it.

It's a bit of a process but well worth it IMO

btw you've been there before? I never have. . .is it as nice in person as it is on the website?
