So, fh and I were talking and since to the family we are not 'official' (ie-no ring and no 'real' proposal, which to me I am still confused as to why it hasn't happened since we basically had a date set)...
We havn't been talking much about wedding things because its been stressful with family issues (again, ie-were going to hell for getting married not in a church first...and any family members who join have to denounce their catholicism...) and so today, after much discussion, we decided to hold off on everything till a later time...
Some are saying it's a cover up because he's planning something.... but... im always one to think the worst :(
so...anyway... ill update when I can... but as of now... nothing any time soon :(

I am sad..because he was the bride basically...
and then once the family wouldnt recognize us as engaged because it just 'happened' and there was no ring or engagement proposal... they just, take it like the wind...

Try and stay optimistic! Family really can $uck sometimes and it stinks that family drama is preventing you guys from being happy. I hope that he is really just planning something special for you!

lol..He proposed originally with an orange juice container ring. Then when the family said that it wasnt enough got me a rock. Not my taste... i mean huge....
so since then...family wants the down on one knee PLUS a ring

Awww, I am sorry to hear. Screw people that think it is bad to not get married in a church. Sorry, I had to say that. And, if you wait, you will have PLENTY of time to save, plan and have the most over the top wedding. I am sure you will be back soon though.
