Updated: another Fortunoff vent...

So, we go to open up our brand new chrome Cuisinart drink mixer...

inside the box is a funky, nasty, old drink mixer!!! Someone must have bought a new one, put their old one in the box and returned it. And, Fortunoff NEVER CHECKED! Gross! It was rusty and dirty!

So, now I have to make another trip back there...Maybe I'll send fi...I've had enough of their ****


I just found out, fi took it with him to work and returned it during his lunch hour. There were 3 people there. Two were nice and helpful. One was speaking in Spanish (which we speak) to the other people, asking them to find out, 'who bought it...I bet they did it.' And, was then saying how Fortunoff checks EVERYTHING and there's no way it was sold that way.

So, fi responded to her in Spanish that our BEST MAN bought it and there is NO WAY he would do something like that....GRRRR

I feel u. Although I did Customer service FOR a really LONGGGG time. It does happen. They started making us open everything that was returned even if it was factory sealed.


I once had a lady bring back a pair of used thong underwear she said they fell apart. I called her nasty and told her to leave. Its also against the law for me to take that back. Well she through a fit I said would you want to touch my dirty Underwear.... She says If you rinsed them out.

I had people Wrap up old Blankets. People Return old VCR TV everything. Problem is that the store doesn't know if they really did it or if someone else did it. People are DISGUSTING! Id call the store RIGHT know. And tell them what happened and you are coming back to return it.

I work at fortunoff and honestly that doesn't usually happen!!!! I SWEAR!!!! If I were you I'd take your return reciept and call the customer service ph# (1800fortunoff) explain the story and tell them how disapointed you are with what happened and how your FI was treated--they are usually very accomadating and I'd bet $$ that they hook you up with a gift card for your inconvience! sorry that happened!

I posted about this earlier - I had to return my knife block set because the first knife I unwrapped was all funky & USED!!!!

The woman who helped me exchange did not look so surprised!

Best part is it came from my aunt in South Carolina & had it shipped, wrapped to my shower! So try & figure out how I got a used set!
