UPDATED! Wisdom Teeth

I am having my wisdom teeth removed in exactly one hour. I have until Tuesday to recover, and then a HUGE exam in school. Do any of you have any info on how long it should take me to recover? Any home remedies to speed up the process.......anything! LOL

Thanks so much for all of the info!
I was a little drowsy afterwards and I don't really remember getting into the car, but everything went so smooth and I am in no pain. I'm a little sore, but no pain what so ever. I stayed at my parent's house until FH came to get me after work, and he showed up with our dogs and they both had get well soon balloons tied to their collars. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. He also got me an adorable precious moments figure so that made me feel much better since I was so groggy and nautious from the anastesia. Thanks again for all the responses!!

I got my 2 top ones removed on Saturday Sept 23rd and By Monday I was fine!!! Just stay home and relax today, take your antibiotics and eat soft stuff!! You will be fine!

You should be fine. I had all four of mine pulled at the same time, and went on a trip to the bronx zoo the next day. they will give you drugs to take care of the pain. Also make sure you rinse with salt water so you don't get an infection. After two days I felt MUCH better, and by a week later, I was completely fine.

Some people have a very quick recovery and some have a more delayed. How you react is different with everyone but if you have till Tuesday you will be fine. Make sure you rest and take pain medication before the pain gets really bad.

I had my two bottom ones removed at the same time. The worst part was that I think i had a bruise under my tongue from where they injected teh anesthia. I was in school the next day and had minimal to no pain. Teh ebst theing to do is rinse your mouth with warm salt water and to take some aleve for the pain.

Make sure your freezer is stocked with ICE!

I also took wash cloths and wet them and placed them in plastic bags and stuck them in the freezer cause you will want to apply them as soon as you get home to decrease the facial swelling!

Make sure someone can go to the pharmacy while the procedure is being done to get the pain meds filled up for you to take one when you get home.

I had 3 of them removed and it took me about 4 full days to feel fine. Everyone that gets them out had a different recovery.

I had all four pulled at once. Yeah, not a treat. But honestly by the following night I felt fine, my face was just swollen cuz one of the teeth were impacted (is that how you say it?). My face was a little swollen for a few days but other than that I was fine.

I just had my two bottom ones removed on Saturday. I had a bad reaction to the medication so I didn't feel ok until Tuesday (I had to stop taking the pain meds Sunday morning). I am still sore and still can't anything hard, but it's getting better every day.

some people are different! just follow ALL the orders the dr. gives you and most likely you'll be fine!

I had all four of mine removed at once and I was completely fine after three days. The day after was pretty bad though, I was throwing up a lot. But your gums heal pretty quickly, so you should be okay by Tuesday.

Hope you're feeling alright!

It really does depend. It took about one week to recover, but other people I know had it done, and they were fine after three days.
