Updated with the information you all have been asking. - I just got back from the eye doctor, I am doing the Lasik surgery in August.
Everything is a blurry right now beause he did a whole bunch of tests. But I am a good candidate and I am going for it.
ETS: My sister had the surgery on Friday July 17 and she is seeing 20/15. She is so happy. If I didn't see her go through it, I wouldn't do it. But seeing how happy she is, I decided I am going for it.
She did alot of research before she decided who to go too. I was happy about that, she did all the grunt work.
She went to Dr. T.J. Hufangel (that who I am going to also) at the Stahl Eye Center. There are 3 locations: 1. Garden City 516.832-8000 2. Hauppauge 631.952-8000 3. Manhattan 212.684-8737
It is expensive, but after seeing my sister I think it is worth it. My surgery is costing me about $3900. I did get a 10% discount because I am a Davis Member. But it depends on your eyesight and what type of surgery you are a candidiate for. So the price may be lower or higher.

Wow, thats great!!!!!!! I am getting tired of my glasses, and I rarely wear my contacts b/c my eyes are so dry. But i am such a chicken!

I had it done in June and it is amazing! I wish I could of afforded to get it done before my wedding. I was really blind so its a crazy difference. Who are you using? Good luck to u!!

i would loveeee to know the information on who you are using and how much it is??? i was just telling FH that i really want to get this done!!! I know someone who got it done about 5 years ago, and her eyes are dry ALL the time, have u ever heard that??? please FM me any and all information u have to share if you dont mind!! thanks!

Good for you!!!! A patient of mine did it about 3 weeks ago. He looks so different so used to the glasses, he said its painless, took all of 10minutes. He has better than 20/20 vision( if thats possible lol I deal with teeth, lol) but he is soooooooo happy. He went to a Dr. Weinstein in Commack. If anyone needs info I can find out for you.

i did it 5 years ago and wake up every morning thanking my lucky stars that i can see the clock. 20/15 all these years later! Good luck!

Love hearing this!!! I wish I could do it sooner. But I have to wait until the 3rd week in August.
