UPDATEDOh no! Please pray to St. Anthony!==He found it...BUT
This is bad, ladies.
On July 4th FH and I packed up all our BBQ leftovers into the car and brought them to my house. I was so concerned with bringing food in that I neglected to bring my purse ino the house. I just forgot about it. Fast forward to Tuesday, I have to got o work..no license, no wallet, no credit cards, no checkbook, it's all in the $250 LV bag that is now MISSING. I asked FH to check the car (I was sure it was there), and he said it's not there!!!!!!!! I don't know where it could be. I'm afraid I left it on the stoop and someone ran off with it. it has EVERYTHING in it. Credit cards, checkbook, cash, receipts, driver's license!
Any suggestions on where to look? Please help me pray to St Anthony (all you catholic girls), so i find it!
UPDATE: Last night I aksed Fh to check his car again thoroughly and lo and behold, there it was, tucked safely into the trunk, He promised to bring it to me this morning (He can either take the LIRR from his house or drive here for the subway)....and it's 10am, we're both 1.5 hours late for work and NO sign of him, no phone calls, and I cant get through to him. So now my mom is driving me to work and I am LATE, whcih usually in't so big a problem but today I have someone assisting me, and she's been there for over an hour working and I haven't been. I feel like an azz. I am going to KILL him

check the account for any activity, if not, then retrace your steps...is it possible someone took it home for you?

its possible my sister brught it in the house or something, or that it's just still in th4e car somewhere..or maybe it enver made it to the car....but the thing is I think I caguely remeber putting it on the stoop and telling myself 'i'd better not leave this here'...but I don't remeber if that was that day or another day or if it was at Fh's house or my house

call your bank and check on your last transactions on your checking account, that's automated and fast and easy-that'll at least give you a heads up...then call the credit card company....is it a big bag? could it have fallen under a seat in the car, and FH didn't see it?

Oh I hope you find it! Once I left my wallet at the mall ( ) and I was devastated. Of course it was returned just as I cancelled my last credit card - ARGH. Good luck!

I'll pray that you find it. I had something similar happen. We went shopping and we were carrying in a bunch of bags and I was sure I had my purse on me. Well the next morning I go to leave for work and can't find it. I look everywhere...then panic and call my credit card companies and bank to cancel my cards. Three days later someone mailed back to me my license and credit cards. I must have dropped it between the car and the house and someone walked off with it.
Look everywhere...check and see if anyone picked it up for you. Check the car really well and if you don't find it...cancel your cards right away.
Sorry

The BBQ was at Fh's place, then we went to my mom's house..so I'm just hoping it's somewhere in one of those 2 locations and I didn't leave it on the stoop somewhere, etc..also FH isn't so great about locking his car

Oh no! I hope you find your bag soon, Jenn. You should definitely call and cancel all your cards in the meantime, just in case. It's a total pain, but it will save your a$$ if someone actually did take your bag.
Saying a prayer for ya!

I hope you find it.
Besides cancelling the cards you should put a freeze on your Social Security #. This way no new accounts can be opened in your name.
You seem very calm, which is good when I lost my wallet I was crazy and calling everyone I know to see if they had it....

I'm pretty calm beauase I know getting upset won't solve anything, and if it's in the house I'll find it, if not, it's gone. I had lost my e-ring for a week, but I knew it was somewhere in my house or Fh's, and we eventually found it

Staying calm is key...when i lost my wallet my FH was freaking out...but if you freak out then you are not going to check places thoroughly. I stayed calm and we tore apart our apt and his car looking for it. When we didn't find it, I went to cancelled my cards.
