I am so excited!!!!!!!!!! My first stop is Macy's Bridal Salon and then I'm heading to The Wedding Salon of Manhasset!!
This is my 1st time out....wish me luck ladies!!!!
*****UPDATE***** I had so much fun at the Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset. I tried on lots of gorgeous dresses. I have narrowed it down to three.
On the other hand...I had a horrible experience at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. The salesgirl was sterotypical, rude, unprofessional and just straight out a biotch. After trying on only two dresses she basically told me I should probably look else where. While she was talking to me in the fitting room every other word out of her mouth was the f-word. Don't get me wrong I curse too but not in front of complete strangers!!! Especially not at my work place. Could you believe that!!!!!?????????!!!!!!
I had lots of fun with my moh and mom. We laughed and cried.
I also met one of our own 08 brides there...I hope you had fun!!!
We will be going back in 2 weeks with the bridesmaids to order their dresses.
The woman who helped me at Macy's was Barbara she was very sweet and patient. I highly recommend her.
I WOULD!!!! why shoudld you be uncofortable trying on your wedding dress??? Its supposed to be a happy time with nothing bothering you!! Wy did she tell you to go somewhere else? did she not want to work? was something said about the price? i know a friend of mine went to a bridal place (* not sure where0 and had said that 3 of the dresses were pricey and they told her ' well if you so worried about the price go somewhere else' with that she left and called the boss the min she got home!
I never said anything about prices. She made one comment about a dress that another girl had tried on and was $12,000...and said 'Oh that's Vera Wang, don't even bother looking in that section'. I said, 'I'm not concerned with the price'. I don't understand why she would talk like that, it's not like we came in dressed in our sweat pants. Whatever....she didn't make a commission off me!!! And honestly, I still preferred the 3 dresses I saw at Macy's.

UGH i hate people like that...YOu should've turned around and said B**** can you afford the $12,000 i wanna know how much youre making here to think youre all high and mighty
I can't believe she was like that. I love macy's also. I worked with Diane. Althought I didn't get any dresses from there. I did like 2. But they just weren't the one. I would have loved to get the dress from there just because of the way the treated you. Diane was so nice. and she didn't pressure me or rush me.

I know what you mean...when she walked me out to my mom and sil(moh) after I was done she was like She'll tell you in the car...meaning I would tell them the places she suggested me to go to. so when we got to the car my mom was like what do you have to tell us. When I told her that she suggested we go to lower priced stores my mom wanted to go back in there and yell at her. How dare she!!!! I think I might call the place up and complain....what do you think?

i say definitely go for it, or go back and pull a pretty woman type thing on her...i would definitely complain seriously. They work there and get it in their heads and i dont know why.
No...I wasn't allowed to take pictures. I posted about this b4. I got pissed b/c later on the place started to get crowded and I had finished trying my dresses and I had my moh trying on bm dresses and some of the other brides were sneaking pics in.
