Contemplating uplighting but never saw it at a wedding. What does everyone think of uplighting?

Re: Uplightiing
Im doing uplighting.. it changes the room a lot. Im going to do a purple/bluish, but not over-the top. Most of the pics I've seen in my room, is dark, it loooks so much nicer with uplighting. Try to find pics of it in your room. When I asked about it to my photographers-they also told me the pics come out better. HTH. xoxox

I think it depends on your Reception room. I've seen it done at a wedding where it was barely noticeable, and others where it totally changes the aura.

Love Uplighting!! It definitely makes your room look even more amazing. I am having it at our wedding, you should try to do it if you can.

I like it and fh had to have it but it depends on your room and time of day. A bunch of Windows during the day it won't be worth the money but a night wedding or dark room it looks great. I don't think its a must have like fh because the price. We will have it and it cost over a grand

I'm using blue. My theme is 'blingy'.

Ours is changing colors - starting out pink, since thats the color of all of the things for the wedding - then throughout the night it changes.

Thanks so much!! I like the changing colors too. Does that cost more money. We just have uplighting in our contract, we haven't discussed color yet

No prob - but yes, for us it is costing more money for the lights to change. Not sure if that is so for every company though.

Re: Uplightiing
If you go to you tube and type in westbury manor after hours uplighting you can see videos of the uplighting. Also you can google after hours and uplighting westbury manor and see pictures as well.
I am using Body rock and staying with one color bc the color changing because we got the intelligent lighting towers as well.
