I went to a showcase yesterday and saw uplighting in my RH and it looked awesome. I was wondering if anyone is or has looked into getting uplighting. And if you could give me some places or even quotes you got for it. The rep from Luminous Designs said for the way the room was set up last night it was be between 2 -3k. Thats soooo much for lighting and I'm hoping I could find it cheaper somewhere else. The cans they use are wireless so its nice that you dont see any cords running across the floor... I'm wondering if thats why its so expensive...
Thanks for your help girls!

Re: Uplighting
I wanted uplighting to for my reception. When I went to book my dj/band I asked about it and he said they did it (it was expensive) but bc they were doing everything from the ceremony to the end he knocked off a few $$ for them. You could also not do the entire room in uplighting and just choose focal points

Re: Uplighting
I'm getting it through my dj which is cheaper then going through a seperate company. It costs I believe an extra 800-100.

Speak to your dj...they might be able to give you a deal.

Re: Uplighting
My DJ is including it in the package, but since I'm doing video/photo and dj together, I have no idea what it costs separately. I was told by another bride on here that her music package alone was 3500, uplighting included.

Re: Uplighting
Yeah, that did look awesome. We're having a daytime wedding in July, though, so it will be pretty bright in there with all the windows and the atrium. Our DJ said any special lighting probably wouldn't be worth the extra $$ unless we black out the room, which I didn't want to do. FYI, some florists do uplighting, too, so ask around and compare.

Re: Uplighting
we had uplighting through Prestige Events - they are a vendor on LIW. Glen did an amazing job - we paid $500 for the uplighting & another $495 for our monogram/gobo. HTH

That is an awesome price Are you getting wireless LED lights? The RH doesn't have outlets near the free standing columns that are going to be light up and I don't want wires all over the place. 1305 is very reasonable
