Can you tell a room has uplighting for daytime weddings? Is it worthwhile for me to add uplights to my package?
Any idea how much it would cost for a basic uplighting package with only 10 - 20 likghts (all with rotating colors)?
I LOVE uplighting but wouldn't want to spend money on nothing.
TIA

Re: uplighting for a daytime reception?
it depends on the room. I asked about it for Land's End and the dj was like yeah that room is pretty bright during the day. maybe do the bar area in the back only.
you lose the effect in a room w windows.

ita ... if your room is bright with windows and stuff it would be a waste of money to get uplighting

Honestly, I don't think it would work at WCC primarily because they have many windows which are semi large and it's a bright room to begin with.
But if you want it..go for it. If it were me I wouldn't though.

I wouldn't do it...we're having an afternoon wedding and skipped the uplighting.

I honestly don't think it is necessary. A daytime wedding has its own essence/charm, and trying to make it look like a nighttime wedding seems silly to me...I'd've just had a nighttime wedding then!

My room has built in uplighting. I went to see it DURING THE DAY and it looked gorgeous! You could totally see it!

i think it depends on the room. if it has a lot of windows than i think its a waste...you may see it a little but not to the effect you should be getting
