Hey girls, just wanted to get your overall thoughts on uplighting? I think it gives a great effect to the room... Not sure if it's distracting at all to guests? Also, a little concerned that all my photos of the room will all have colored lights in the background...? Don't want them to look like my high school yearbook photo (laser lighting backdrop lol...)
I am leaning more towards getting it, but I have yet to go to a wedding with uplighting, so any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thanks

Re: Uplighting... Pros and Cons?
My wedding isn't until next year, but I got uplighting. Check out photo's with the uplighting and you can definitely see what a cool effect it has on the room.

We are getting uplighting and I really think it will help set the tone of the night! I've never been distracted by it at all and I think it makes the pictures look more dramatic! JMO, though HTH!

Re: Uplighting... Pros and Cons?
I think lighting is so important that I am spending more on it than I am on flowers. It can change a room so much I am using it as my main decor element. I don't know how it would work at Flowerfield because my venue has a system installed, but would it be possible to change up the colors of the lights at some point during the night?

Re: Uplighting... Pros and Cons?
I think it REALLY depends on your room/venue. I am so glad that I didn't get it and detract from the beauty of my room since it had an old rustic feel to it. I felt like it would be out of place.
However, if your venue is one of those places with mono-colored walls and big open spaces, I think it could really add something to it!
Not having ever been to flowerfield, I don't know which of the above categories the room falls into though.

Re: Uplighting... Pros and Cons?
I just got married at Flowerfield and had AMAZING uplighting and it looked AWESOME. Check out my review and there are links to my non-pro facebook albums towards the end and you can get a feel for what it would like! HTH!
