My FSIL is getting married this May in San Francisco, but then they are coming to NY 2 weeks later and having a reception for all who couldn't make it out to CA. She is having it at their uncle's dance studio. They have a DJ already, but apparently the DJ doesn't provide uplighting.
I am having a band, and do not want uplighting for my wedding, so I am completely clueless about this. FH and I have been asked to help with preparations.
My question is, can I get uplighting from somewhere that doesn't cost an arm and a leg without using a DJ service?
If anyone has suggestions or recommendations, I could really use your help!!!

If anyone gets prices for any of these outside vendors I'd love if they could forward their price quotes to me too. I know there were a LOT of vendors that did this at the Bridal Extravaganza and I'm going to see if they'll give me an estimate on monday if I go again to that. I never called because I decided I wasn't spending any more money haha.

are they having flowers? because my florist provided my uplighting so perhaps hers could do the same (if they have one).

Have you tried asking an outside DJ for just uplighting? They just send a tech to set them up, they don't have someone all night tending to them so try that.

I never thought to find a DJ who can just send a tech! And I'm still not sure about flowers, because everything was sort of thrown on my FMIL this week, so FH and I are trying to use our combined powers to make everything work.
