so i got a call from my mom crying and she says i want to say something and you not get mad, she goes i want you to know i wont be offended if you want to get ready at a hotel, i was like why she goes because my house isnt fancy and these are you memories i want you to have amazing pics in a beautiul place, i ll book you a hotel so you can a non lived in place to take pics, iam actually hurt, because i want my memories to be of my house not some hotel room! i dont care if my moms house isnt immaculate it was me home for 25 years! how can i make her underdstand that it doesnt matter to me ! that i want to be where im comfortable!

I would tell her exactly that. The memories that you want to cherish are those from that house and no matter what it looks like all you care about is being there and capturing the precious moments there. I would share your true feelings and she should understand. She may feel embarrassed but tell her there is no reason to be.

My Mom had a break down about this very thing early on. She didn't want bridesmaids at the house, she's so embarrassed about how 'ugly' it is. So, I am getting ready in a hotel to make her happy....if it's really important to you, please tell her exactly what you wrote.

I'm so sad she feels this way, I can relate.

i would just tell her that!! im sure she will go for it once she sees how much it means to you to get ready at her house!

That's so heart breaking. I would tell her how you feel, and that you don't care about things like that.
