So...I know that you are the only ones who will really understand.
I have very mixed emotions right now because FH and I have just decided that the one vendor that I absolutely LOVED, that I was looking forward to the most, we have to give up and eat the deposit that we gave in order to save a few thousands dollars that we will end up needing for closing costs on a house.
We weren't looking for home right away, but an opportunity sort of presented itself, so..
But its just that every single time I thought of our wedding, I thought of it in terms of the 'video', and now I won't have one.
But, I guess I want a house more than a video, right?

Oh Kelly... not a fun decision by any means. Did you tell your videographer the entire story? They might be sympathetic and willing to drop the price.
Like the prior post said, there are cheaper companies if you really do need to back out of your current agreement.
hugs your way!!
BUT congrats on getting closer to your new home. That is very exciting!!

Aw...well hopefully another opportunity will present itself along the lines of a videographer . Look around, Im sure there are really great ones around that arent so expensive. And yes, Im sure you want a house more than anything (I know the feeling)...so hopefully you get to enjoy both!

Re: upset
Thanks ladies! I am feeling a little better. I think we are going to try and find someone to do raw video footage. I really just want to be able to see my bridal party walk down the aisle and FHs reaction to me walking down the aisle.

Re: upset
I am sorry your upset but check out craigslist or weddingbee.com..I have seen lots of offers from ppl who are willing to shoot your event for free so that it can boost their portfolio. You may find a great person who just needs clients.

We didn't have a pro, but a good family friend taped everything. It is not fancy but it is still great to have to watch. Also you can do amazing this with I movie to add music and such. I say house it so much more worth it, and then have a friend tape for you.
