I am really hating this experience searching for a bridal gown. I fell in love with a Maggie Sottero gown but I tried it on in taffeta but was told it came in satin (I fell in love with this material). After searching for a store that has it in the satin in my size, I finally went. When I saw the gown my heart sank because it is satin but not the material I was expecting. I feel like I can't win; I want this dress (love the bead work) in the material I want.

What little research I've done on Maggie dresses, is what they have is it. They do not offer any special alterations like other designers (ie. change corset to zipper). For their lacy gowns, they don't even do hollow-to-hem.

Try looking up a different designer I found the designer mori lee makes a lot of gowns that look like some of the Maggie's I've tried on I actually looked up for you and found a similar one and the material says soft satin so maybe it's different. If not maybe you should talk to the salon to see if they can do anything about it and get the material you want!

Hollow-to-hem is when your measured from the hollow of your neck to where the dress should end. The dress is then ordered in that length and custom made for you. I had to do this with my dress because of the scalloped lace at the bottom and no seams in the lace, it couldnt be hemmed.
OP if you love beading also look into Casablanca and Allure. I have a beading fetish as well and these 2 designers have some of the most AMAZING bead work Ive ever seen! Good luck and dont get yourself upset about it, youll find the perfect dress! Its out there!

Thanks!! I know exactly what I want; the bead work from one dress and fabric from another and feel like I will never find it.

Try the Bridal Suite in Bayshore. You might be able to find what you want from a different designer.
