I just drove past Bethpage State Park and saw that they mowed down a bunch of trees... one of which is the one my family scattered my father's ashes around last May. Now I can't take pictures by this tree, we were even looking into having the ceremony by it.
So far this year is shaping up so nicely for me.

I'm sorry. Maybe by the time your ceremony happens everything will be back to looking natural. I know that THAT tree won't be there but the whole area probably has your fathers ashes there and he's there in spirit and you can't pinpoint a location on that. I hope everything works out

There is no location for the spirit or for love. Your father is everywhere, every tree, and every flower, every where ! I think it is so fantastic that you want to take a picture in that area,...Plant some flowers ...do something special there. I noticed you are getting marred at Carlyle On The Green...which is right there...that's so beautiful...

i am so sorry to hear about this...but do know that your father's spirit lives on with you...the tree may not be there, but it is still a special place for you and your family, and you should continue to think of it that way
