Upset with Burtons meeting

I had my flower meeting today- I usually work with Mike and love him, but there was a different guy today. He was nice, but totally not listening to my ideas or getting the style at all. I came so prepared with pictures and knowing exactly what I wanted and he was just not getting it and making me having to keep saying no to his suggestions. I swear, I am not a bridezilla, but left there feelig really frustrated. Did anyone else have this problem?Do you think it is okay to cll back and ask for another meeting with Mike? Does he handle flower stuff lke this or only sales?

I'm not a Burton's bride, but if you began/booked with Mike, I would ask to deal specifically with Mike and find out what his title/duties/area are, esp. since you and him seem to have clicked. good luck.

i do not remember who i met with months ago, but i was early for my appointment, and the guy spent about 5 minutes with me, told me the price for all roses, and seemed to be so happy with the price he gave me.Then i asked him if i could look at some of the picture books to see samples and get ideas and he told me, sorry somenone else is waiting. By that time, I had been with him less than ten minutes, and it was barely my scheduled appointment time yet. Needless to say i didn't use them. If you were happy with your original person you met with then you should ask for him. I think I just caught them on an off day, most people seem to have nice things to say.

I didn't have that problem, I spoke to mike too and had a great visit with him, he listen to me and was so sweet as to what I wanted! Maybe u shouldn't deal with anyone else but him and let them know that at burtons...they are a really great florist! FM me if u have any questions....

I had the same experience as drjenn when I met with Mike (and did NOT book them).

But I would definitely set up another meeting if you weren't satisfied with the outcome of this one.

I met with Mike when I booked them and was very happy with him too. I would ask if you can deal with him from now on.

I used Burton's and was extremely happy with them. I dealt with Mike all the way, including my last official meeting, where I made some changes. He was great, and I gave him pictures as well (which they duplicated perfectly for our wedding).

Do not even hesitate to call back and request a meeting with Mike, if that's who you are comfortable with. They should have NO problem with that - you deserve to feel 100% confident in booking them!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's suprising to hear because I heard so many rave reviews about Burton's. My initial meeting went well with them and I'm hoping my meeting in June goes just as well. I would call and make an appointment with Mike again if you preferred to work with him.

definitely call and let them know how you feel - they might not be aware and may have to realize what they are doing - you are the customer and they should be working with you - since you are paying them to do somehtign you should be happy - just call or go in and be calm about it but be honest....

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with them.
We had a very good one.I couldn't rave about them enough.I would definately meet back with the guy Mike that you were happiest with.

just wanted to redeem Burtons b/c I KNOW they are good- thats why I was so surprised by this dude yesterday. Mike called me this morning and said he is doing a similar centerpiece to mine this weekend and he invited me to stop by and see it. I told him how i felt about yesterday and he said he would set aside and HOUR for us to sit and go over everything on Saturday. I feel so relieved. MIKE IS THE MAN!

I used them..I had the combo of my girls flowers in my bouquet. I told them exactly wanted and they delivered...just be very specific and I am sure everything will be OK. I will bump up a picture of my pictures from March 30 so you can see the bouquet. I am adding the pictures from Imagine Studios tonight so you can get a look at the flowers.

KC, I had the same experience. The first time we met with them we saw JON (he was a heavy set guy when you first walk in) We didn't like him, he rushed us and wasn't very nice. After talking to my friend I found out that she used Burtons and I had LOVED her flowers. Looking on this site, I saw that MANY people saw Mike and I called and made an appt with him. He was SOOOOOO great and we booked on the spot.

Mike is the only one I will deal with now Good Luck

I am sorry you had such a bad experience with John.We met with him and he was so nice and helpful.He took his time.We felt very comfortable when we met with him.

i just went to burtons today. my fh and i were in the area and decided to stop by. jon was so nice and actually made time for us, even though we did not have an appointment. he gave us a quote that was in our budget and i was surprised that i could have any flower i wanted for that price. most florists charge you by what type of flowers you want. overall i had a great experience.
