Would you ever want to get married on the date that used to be your anniversary with your ex?? Not to say that I have any feelings for my ex, but the date still sticks in my mind and I would avoid it like the plague. I dated my ex for 5 years and I would never want to plan my wedding on that day. Just wondering how you girls feel about it, am I being too sensitive?

Same with me...I get creeped out when our old anniversary comes by, let alone getting married that day!! It's creepy!!

I wouldn't. it was already hard for us to pick April because that's when my ex totally broke my heart, and the same month a year earlier we had started dating. to bad i've always loved the month of April though. so I had to have it anyway. I picked the 18th of april after my birthday which is sept 18th. you should do something like that pick a good date.
My wedding day is a ways away from my old anniversary...FH would freak!

I wouldn't. I even ruled out the hall that FH had his prom at (before we even got in the door he was talking about 2 other girls so i refused)

I totally would steer clear of the date. I didn't do it for an ax but my parents are divorced and their anniversary was late August (later than my date) and I made sure to rule out the hall they were married at. It was one of the first things I thought of when it came time to pick a date and browse RHs.

wow..I can't even remember my anniversary with my ex!!???!?!!? maybe that's a good thing!

this past year was the first time that it went by and i didn't even notice!!! we dated for almost 4 yrs, between '97-'00, so obviously it's been awhile and it always stuck out in my mind. i was so proud that i finally forgot it this year.![]()

I'm not conscious of it in the way like...oh my god, tomorrow would be our anniversary...but at the same time...would u consciously book ure wedding on that day?? I mean, if u dated seriously...I don't think you can totally blank on what that day used to be. I wouldn't want to have that memory anywhere near my wedding!

i guess that's true. had we looked at a hall and they said 'july 23 is open' i would've said HELL NO!!
