URGENT-PLEASE HELP-NEED TO KNOW IN 20 MINS

We are paying our balance in a few hours.

I need to know how surcharge is calculated . Is it based off amount before tax?

For example, total is 10,000 x tax ( how much???????), then 10,000 x surcharge, not 10,000+tax x surcharge??

'service charge' can be taxed,
'gratuity' cannot.

So if its a service charge, its most likely

[10,000 + service charge] x [tax]

example
100 per person
18 % service
=$118
x 1.08625 (current tax in nassau)
------------------
= $ 128.18 per person
x # of people

10,000 x 18% = 11,800

11,800 x 1.08625 = $12,817.75

Can you just call your hall? When I made my final payment I had to call my hall and go over exactly how many people were coming, vendors, etc and they broke everything down and told me to the penny what to pay.
