My mom says you have to get a blood test before you can get a marriage license. Is this true?

No not anymore... Thats how it used to be MANY MANY MANY years ago... But not anymore. You can see it on the site, it says blood test are no longer needed. =)

my mom said the same thing and i was like whoa really? but the judge told me that its not true anymore so you're good, one less thing to worry about.

Got our license today at borough hall in Brooklyn. We did the application online the day before and it took exactly 30 minutes (we were first on line this morning) once we were in the door. Easy as pie!
All we had to show was our drivers' licenses. (And FH's isn't even a NY one!)

Yup....thank heavens it's not anymore, bec with all the stuff you have to do it would just be one more thing to get done lol!!!
