Do I tip the photographer or videographer?????

We did. I know that some people say if they are the owners not too but we felt that Bill (Wild Rose) did a great job. Kathy and Maria - the photographers from VIP - we also tipped them. Hope that helps.

The photographers are not the owners. How much do you suggest? The Knot.com says $20-25.

I am tipping my photographers about $125 each. $25 is a bit too low- IMO. Remember theknot.com says that I can have the wedding of my choice with a $20K budget. We all know that is NOT true on LI.

what beautiful weather. the most perfect day so far this year IMO.

I hope I have such nice weather for my day.
I think $25 is much too low.
If the photographer is not the owner, tip him, I'd say at least $100
As for the video, if you feel they did an excellent job, tip them a reasonable amount as well.
i just saw your profile. I am also using Steve from Patken. He did my epics and I was so happy!
He is such a doll.
Steve is getting married in October also!

I also think for non owners 25 is too low...

I tipped my 2 photographers - VIP (one was owner) $100 - he mentioned to someone else that he doesn't accept tips for himself, but gives it to the other photographer...and I really think he is that type of person

I agree with everyone who said over $100. I don't know where the $25 comes from in the tipping guides but it seems far too low to me too. You would tip a waiter or waitress that much if you and your hubby went out to a really nice meal and that seems like far less work than hours and hours of taking pictures. I don't remember what we tipped our photographer but it was definitely north of $100.
