URGH! really wish my mother would stop opening my RSVPs!

URGH! really wish my mother would stop opening my RSVPs!

FH and I are supposed to open them.. not her!
but the invite lady addressed the rsvps to my parents. but i told my mother FH AND I want to open them.

I know she was just waiting to see what my dear god mother and her children rsvp'd after ALL the DRAMA that went on at my eparty and what happened when they were invited to my shower.

well they all RSVP'd no. which I'm heartbroken over... but everyone else is happy about.
I can't wait till my shower is over so I can call these people and set them straight!
I mean.. its my GODMOTHER and cousins, we were SO close! all because of one minor thing, things get blown up and now they won't be there on the happiest day of my life!

anyway, whats a nice way of telling my mother to stop?
I asked her yesterday and she tells me 'well who are they addressed to? ME so its MY mail'

'well who PAID for them!? FH.. so its HIS!'

This is how I deal with mine.

Mom..if I have to ask you ONE MORE TIME to stop opening those freaking cards, I'm coming there and there will be HELL to pay!

I actually let my mom open them... cause then i didnt have to wait till i got home to find out...

yea, I live with my parents so I can't use that threat. and she doesn't tell me who rsvps.. she opens them, puts them back and watches me for my reaction.
if she doesn't stop I'm going to start opening ALL of her mail!

I was the same way with my RSVP's. Even if DH got home before me I told him not to open them.

That would drive me CRAZY. FH and I actually had an argument bc he wanted to open one and he claims he said it jokingly but I was like no they are mine. Might have even stamped my foot like a 2 year old.

FH opens all our RSVPs since he gets home 2hrs before I do.
Sorry chica, she can open all mail addressed to her.

I always open them before FH gets home. On Saturdays he pretty much waits for the mailman and then holds them hostage while I carry on like a child that he's not giving them to me.
