I had the panic of my life this week, and thank G-D it turned out to just be a UTI, I have never had one before and was bleeding when I urinated and also had dysfunctional uterine bleeding at the same time. Has anyone ever had one and experienced this? I had no idea I had an infection becuase I only felt weak and tired and just thought it was because I was running myself down. Do Not ignore any symptoms, I have learned that I rather go to the doctor when I feel yucky and have them tell me it is nothing then have a infection like I have now. (I was convinced I was dying of a strange disease becuase I was looking at all kinds of things online.) I am feeling much better now.

Agreed UTI's S*ck!
For about a year I had them chronically. I'd go to the doctor and pee in the cup and ALWAYS come back positive 3 weeks after my last episode and clear reports.
I was finally put on a 6-month prescription of Macrobid to try to control them. Later they escalated into a full blown kidney infection which I apparently didnt notice until my body started to systematically shut down.
I also agree.. NEVER underestimate symptoms.
So sorry you have to go through this. I hope you get better soon. Have they recommended you see a urlogist yet?

This was my first one, so I have only been to the gynocologist for it, I did not know why I was bleeding.I am also on Microbid, the first few days it made me dizzy, and sleepy and a bad head ache, now I am grateful I do not have the dizziness anymore or head ache. They told me it was a plus 3 UTI, I have no idea what that means. I am surprised I had the uterine bleeding but I guess the UTI was so bad it affected my female organs. Sorry if TMI, I just want the bleeding to stop already. I notice as I am feeling better , the bleeding is starting to get less.Did you have uterine bleeding from the UTI?

I had it once OMG it hurt when I had to pee and I had to pee like every 5 seconds only id go and like a drop would go out. Made me so mad.... and in pain.

omg! I was going to post about this earlier in the week b/c I came down with a raging UTI. I hate them! It is the absolute worse feeling. I get them like 3x/year and I'm terrified that I'm going to get one on my honeymoon.

Glad I am not alone, I am starting to feel better, but getting impatient looking at the 4 walls in my house, my boss gave me the week off when he heard how bad my infection was, and that the medicine is getting me so dizzy, etc. I guess I can be thankful I have such a good boss, even though I am sure he will do something to get me mad, he really is a good boss in the long run.My whole office keeps calling me to see how I am . I just want it to go away already. I hope I do not have one on my honeymoon.

I only had one when I was a little girl. But I remember it BURNED and I had to pee a lot.
They say you can help prevent UTIs if you pee before you have nookie, and then right away after nookie. And always wipe front to back.
