urrg people..can i vent and let me know if im petty .......fh was

in 2 weddings this yr(june &august) and shelled out way too much money for one's bachelor party..however he has not yet recieved a groomsmen gift(and these people are not poor)how distasteful and uncaring.. he's like oh no big deal .. no big deal ? but just tacky ..

i agree with you. it was/is tacky. but if fh doesn't mind too much, then i would just let it slide. as i write this, i am also talking to myself (long story, i won't bore you).

do you really want to have a disagreement with fh over something stupid someone else did??

Honestly, since you FH doesn't seem to care, I wouldn't either. My DH was the best man in a wedding about a year before ours and was in shock that he received a gift. He had no clue that was even done. Unfortunately, a week later he was a groomsmen again and got a 'crappy' gift [clarify: compared to the $$$ spent on the first gift vs. this one compounded with the fact that we spent 3 times as much to attend/be in the second one] and he was slightly disappointed.

I don't think you are being petty...but I don't think it's a real issue. Some people don't know or feel the need/desire to give wedding party gifts. [yes, we gave out gifts...but i know for a fact that many of them were tossed to the side and the recipients have no clue now where they are ]
