URRRRR Still offline.....Could use hugs

Last night I was online & it seems there was a power surge so our lights/TV flickered and the internet (DSL) went off so I shut everything down & when I went to sign on this am I got that black page that says due to a power failure or not shutting down properly you have to sign on in 'safe mode' or safe mode w/ networking, etc. (black screen), I tried all options but still cannot get back on. Can anyone help!?

I disconnected the DSL lines & shut my power strip, but nothing is working.

once your computer goes on safe mode...you should be able to click start and restart....once the machine re-boots it should go back to normal mode...did you try to restart after that?????

You can always call tech support..it is always a long wait, but they usually know their stuff.

Hey ladies, I'm still offline, but thankfully FH's cousin is a techie & he took our computer home last night after trying for an hour to restore windows...he finally got some codes from HP & will hopefully figure it out tonight or tomorrow after work. I'm lost w/o a computer...I miss you guys so much (I'm in the library in town).

As for Ray promising to quit smoking, I gotta tell you Kevin said the same thing and has yet to even start. I've never been addicted to anything so I can't really understand how hard it is. I'll be there for whatever he needs but he has to want to do it first, it's pointless if he's not ready. As sad as that is, I don't think there's anything we can do to 'get' them to quit. Just know that you're not alone!!
