What exactly do the ushers do besides bring people to their seats.
Do we really needs these, or can the groomsmen do it?

nothing... thats all ushers do... groomsmen and fathers are considered ushers...

groomsmen can absolutly do it, as long as your not taking group pis right before.

the groomsmen can totally do it. The groomsmen usually show up at the church as people start arriving so you can designate 2 groomsmen to tell your guests which side of the church they should sit.
