so ladies i went to the post office this morning to find out how much my invites will cost to mail (on a side note - they arrived from 'her' and i LOVE them! - she is fantastic) anyway....i got basic flat invites with the inserts...and they said they would be 61cents to mail but on the 17th new postage rates go into effect and itll be 84 cents
so anyone who was going to mail their invites next week or the following may want to get them out now to avoid the increase hope that helps someone

Re: usps postage increase
I'm glad I bought extra postage! I am not sending mine until May, but when FH went to buy the stamps at the post office, he asked them a few times if postage was going up any time soon, and they said no jerks! lol I should have just checked the usps web site.

Re: usps postage increase
from what they told me today, the 44cent stamp for normal mail is not increasing - but the additional fee for additional weight/size is increasing

Re: usps postage increase
I sent mine out already to avoid the increase because I bought my stamps before they let the public know prices were going up but the 44cent stays the same and if you have forever stamps there is nothing to worry about anyway

Re: usps postage increase
44 cent stamp remains and it is only suppose to be an additional 3 cents per ounce so instead of .17 which gets you to the .61 it will be .20 more per ounce. Which means it will now be .64.mail rates
Your invitation must weigh over two ounces so even if you mailed it out before the 17th you would have only saved yourself .06 an envelope.
