Ut-ohhh Bad News!!:(

Just talked to my mom, she found out more about the friend with the brain tumor....I guess he was doing well, making great progress, and eating, talking, walking....well, something that was worked on, opened up and they had to rush him back into OR to fuse whatever this is back together....AND....He lost all his speech, and all control of his arms and legs....I do not know what the prognosis is from this point on, but I am devastated and very sad for him, I know he must be so frustrated...hes got 3 kids at home still, and appartnely the word I got that all was taken out, got different word today that only 65% was taken out....so if anyone knows anyone who hs gone through this, or if there are any doctors, can you tell me if there is any hope for him to gain control of his body again and/or his speech?? I am so scared for him.....

Thoughts and Prayers are welcome more than ever!!

Thanks!!

OMG I am so sorry to hear of this.

He is in my thoughts.

Stay positive. Christopher reeve who is a paraplegic is able to move his fingers. It took time but he is able to do it.

Stone cold broke his back and was told he would never walk again, and yet he is walking and doing everything.

I have heard so many stories of people who were in terrible situations and came out even stronger.

Just stay strong. Today's medicine is extraordinary and he is in the best hands.

I agree with chippa. Even though it is too soon to tell, sometimes these things are temporary. thoughts and prayers are with you!

Last year I had a brain tumor removed.
I had the best Dr. in the world. He saved my life.
His name is Dr. Kelly ( how funny is that becuase my first name is Kelly) he is the chief neurosurgeon at N.Y.U. hospital in manhattan. He also happens to be the best neuro seurgeon in the country with the best technology.
Your friends may have had an inoperable tumor or a fairly large tumor that could not be completely removed with causing major problems they may have removed too much and that is why he is having problems. Tumor may have been located too near to portion of brain that controls speech and movement and that is why not all of it was removed.
Please send my regards and if you need me any other info from me let me know I will be glad to help in any way as many have helped me to heal and recover.
