UTI HELP *update ehh

Ok... 2nd day of antibiotic and the pain is gone but I still feel like I have to go to the bathroom. Is this normal?

As long as the antibiotics prescribed are the ones that target your particular infection, it should work within a few hours/by morning! You still might feel the need to pee tomorrow, but just not excessively like before (so you should be able to handle work with no problem). Don't forget the cranberry juice!

Uggh I hate those! To help with the going to the bathroom (and nothing coming out) drink lots of water and cranberry juice until the medication kicks in. It helps with the burning and hurting when nothing comes out. Hope your meds kick in quickly!

Ugh I'm familiar with this terrible feeling! Definitely take AZO - it's weird, but helps a lot! (read the back of the box and you'll see what I mean)

Thank god the antibiotic works so quickly. Just make sure to take the entire bottle, even if you think the UTI went away already

You should give your doctor a call and let them know. There is a medicine you can take that can stop the urge to urinate. Maybe your doc can call in a prescription for you if it's really bothering you. Hope you feel better soon!
