Original Topic was: Who didn't get a thing (or do anything special) for V-Day and is totally ok with that?
We went shopping to get him new shoes. Bought some jewlery for a thing we have to do in March (semi-formal) got hair stuff for the same event, picked up dry cleaning and dropped off mail. Walked the mall a bit and that's it.
I really am grateful that he and I are so close that this holiday means nothing more than watching the poor folks crammed in Godiva and giggle.
Seems no biggie to us.
Its not that we are against it. Last year he got me a Spa treatment (ooooh-aahhhh) this year nothing. That's alright. *shrug*

We bought a coffee table & end table for our living room - would that count as a gift??
Other then exchanging cards it was a nice day that we spent together. I am very pleased with that

we agreed to not do anything (EVER) on V-day since it's the day he buried his grandma 2 years ago (the same night we met through friends)...but I gave him a sappy card and he sent me flowers while he was at work. He's on his way home now so we can eat our chinese takeout together.

My DH went overboard but I LOVE him!
He got me a gift certificate to a day spa, flowers delivered home & a Ruby heart pendant. I got him a full day of recording time in a studio to record alot of the songs that he sings alot in karaoke including our wedding song!

I got a really pretty white gold heart diamond accent ring....its such a nice gesture....I thought it was cute when we were shopping at the mall last week, and it was one of Kays specials, originally $125...special weekend price of less than $50...I got him some Choc covered strawberries that we ate together last night with champagne after dinner since he is working tonight! And when we were out shopping today, I bought him a Yankees hat that I had wante dto get him for CHRISTMAS but did not have any luck finding one.....
But we too, giggled at all the people lined up outside Godiva and crammed into the card section of CVS

I got my Godivas truffles box on thursday at work. Today we went to a sushi place where we always start our Saturday night. As always we showed up there at 6:30 knowing that they don't participate in the V-day hooplah, but oh nooooooo... Every sorry a$$ who forgot to make reservations and got yelled at was there with his date, waiting in a huge line! We still got a table (35 minutes later) and enjoyed our regular sushi feast, but I now officially hate valentines day! To invade our favorite place like that...

We just had a nice day together, very low-key. Bought a new t.v., got Chinese take-out for dinner. He got me flowers (delivered to work yesterday) & I gave him a massage tonight

We got each other flowers, but nothing else. With the wedding only 3 months away, all our extra money is going toward that. I don't mind- it's all worth it!!

my dh went overboard too so i agree with jennifer we are saving for a house and my deadline i set for myself is may lol. but i am very happy with my gift i am a huge photography buff and love cameras so he bought me this amazing digital camera with zoom lenses and 8.0 megapixels and a movie feature. hey anyone need pictures taken for free lol i have to learn how to use this

I got a truckload of chocolates from my FAVORITE place in the world, Chocolate Bar in NYC!

We don't go crazy for Valentines Day because my birthday is the week before.
I made bow-tie pasta(his fav) with homade gravy and meatballs, which I haven't made since I got preggo. I also made brownies (another of his favs)
I also made pancakes for breakfast so DH got spoiled. He deserved it for taking such good care of me through pregnancy and after

FH got me a gift certificate to a spa/hair salon by our house, which is great b/c I desperately need a haircut. I got him the Family Guy Season 1-3 on DVD. And we also went out to Peter Luger's in Brooklyn..YUMMY!

We normally make a big deal out of V-Day (we both love celebrations of any kind ), but since I'm not working we went low key.
Patrick got me a GC to Victoria's Secret, and Nicky and Arnold got me a Yankee Candle tart warmer with yummy fruit scented tarts.
I got Patrick 3 shirts, and Nicky and Arnold got him a laser leveler.
