So I am searching for a photographer and simpley fell in love with v e l v e t studios!! Anyone have any comments or know anyone who has used them? thanks

Try searching the Brides Review board. I'm fairly certain there was a Crescent Beach Club bride who used Velvet Studios. I don't remember her name, though.

No problem. I'm glad I could help. I'm sure there are other Velvet Studios reviews, but I just remembered that one because of the RH.
I spoke with the owner of Velvet on the phone when I was researching photographers. He seemed very nice and helpful, but we hit it off with someone else and decided to go with that photographer.

Wow didnt realize you were getting married at the CBC- coming up soon!!! Are you doing your ceremony there as well? if so are you doing a steel drum band by any chance? who did you end up going with for the photog?

I can't believe how quickly it's coming up! In the process of ordering invitations now.
We are not having our ceremony at Crescent Beach. We're getting married in my church. We are going to have a steel drum band for the CH. I thought it would be a nice touch to get everyone in a happy mood! I don't know the particulars, though, because having the band there is a gift.
We're using Paul Marino for photography. We wanted someone who has experience shooting on the beach because the sun and sand can affect the lighting. Paul also does a lot of weddings on beaches in Florida and he is a great person, as well as a great photographer. We hit it off with him immediately. So far, we're thrilled with his work.

Wow!! Sounds amazing. ya know i didnt think about the whole beach photography issue..hmm.. where is your photog located? are they doing your video as well? sorry for the 20 questions haha

No worries. When we met with Paul last year, his studio was in Massapequa. I haven't had the need to go back to his studio since then, but I think I remember hearing that he may have moved to Bellmore. I could be imagning that, though. Rocketsummer17 (I think that's her name) signed with him recently, so she may know for certain. His web site is photographybypaulmarino.com.
We're not having a videographer. When we met with Paul, he shared office space with Bellarino, which does video.
