vacation for august

hi girls..

any ideas of where to go (yes maybe a nice beachy place too) for mid august..

its our one year in august , so we def want to get away, but we also dont know where to go.. we went to aruba (loved it) on our HM, but we would like to go see other places..and we also dont want to spend the amount we did on the HM.. maybe 1-2K.

any ideas that arent in the hurricane belt???

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is dirt cheap...nice beaches! You can get an all inclusive there for under $1k each!

Maybe somewhere in Florida....

The Carolinas are nice in August - Ocean Isle Beach or the Outer Banks are both nice.
Myrtle Beach.....
Newport, RI is SO nice...

Glad to hear you loved Aruba - just found a super cheap package online for October...DH and I are heading there to the Westin Aruba for our 1st Anniv. trip....can't wait!

Hi Date Twin!! DH and I are going to Secrets Capri in Playa del Carmen for our first anniversary. We had a budget of about $2500 and did not want to travel to far (we went to Tahiti for our honeymoon). I bought travel insurance just in case of a hurricane and we will hope for the best! I keep looking at Tripadvisor and I am getting so excited

i want to go to mystic - hopefully a day or two for that this july - DH is a baseball coach - so he has to recruit - we will hit up new england again and again.. hopefully we will actually see a red sox game.. weve been to the cape and newport and loved it..

How about Florida Keys? I watched 'Samantha Brown' on Discovery Channel and saw clips of several islands in the Keys that are gorgeous.

Not sure if it'd be in your budget or if it's in the path of a hurricane during your travel time...

My whole family is going in August as well.
