The service was amazing! The people were extremely friendly and would come talk to us about us...who we were, why we were there, how our stay was going. And they seemed genuine when we were talking to them.
We had a gorgeous room (check out my review) that literally opened right to the pool...and a hammock that swung right out our back door! The beach was so peaceful and had these little huts that you could lay under...and the sand was REALLY soft! No one bothered you on the beach either (we had issues in St. Lucia where we would get harassed on the beach by soliciters)...you, your DH, and your thoughts...that's it on the beach! The pool was gorgeous and extremely clean! It meandered through the resort and a restaurant!
The weather was amazing when we went (July into August)...low 70's at night, mid to upper 80's during the day. The food was great too...and the fact that you could order room service at any time was awesome too! We never had to ask for anything...we finished eating lunch one day and got up, and the waiter came running after us bc he thought that my DH 'needed' a beer for the road!
We didn't do anything with the nightlife becasue we were exhausted from the wedding and just wanted to do nothing!
It was honestly the best vacation I've been on...and I've been to many places...from South America, to Europe to almost all the Caribbean islands. I REALLY want to go back for our 1st anniversary...I'm takng some extra classes for money that I'm hoping we can put towards a trip for that time!

We stayed at the Gran Caribe Real in Cancun. The beach was awesome...the hotel was nice...you can upgrade and have a dinner at the all adult Royal hotel next door which was AMAZING!!! and it was only a mile from downtown cancun where all of the bars and clubs and shops were. We would def stay there again if we went back to cancun.
