vacation time around the wedding

vacation time around the wedding

so we are getting married on Friday, April 23. so i will take off Thursday, April 22. we plan on coming back from the honeymoon on Wednesday, May 5, so i figured i would stay home on Thursday, May 6.

the question is Friday, May 7, i will need a day to go to Social Security & DMV to change my name, do you think i will be able to do it that day? will i have the marriage certificate by then? or should i work Friday, May 7 & then ask for a day off once i have the certificate to change my name??

I wouldn't bank on having my marriage certificate by then. Ask around on the 09 boards, but from what I've seen a lot of the ladies had to wait a month or two for the certificate to be mailed to them.

yea i would wait....it seems like some girls have it in two weeks and others in two months.

My MOH just got her marriage certificate and she got married on 9/18/09. So you may have to get all of that done another day.

i think you should be able to get in done in one day, but then again, ive never done it so what do i know ahah

im sure you can do it in one day... but i would wait till you have the cert in hand to schedule a day to do it
