I'm getting married December 4th so I was going to take off December 2 and 3, then honeymoon until the 20th...
...but my office is closing early on the 23rd and closed on the 24th so I feel like its pointless to go in for 3 days...
but then I also feel like taking off December 2nd- 27th is reallly pushing it even though I have the time. Its really just 16 days but seems like I'm taking off the entire month of December.
Thoughts?
Edited: Now Im thinking I may need those 3 days to do Christmas shopping. No way will I have time to shop before the wedding unless I start in September!

i would do what you planned... if they are early days they should be nice easy days! save the time for the summer when you and DH will then do something fun for the whole day!
we are taking off from 6/10-6/25, returning to work on 6/28 (12 days off from work!!!! yippie!)

I am going to take off just shy two weeks. ( I only get two weeks vacation.)
This is something I am really nervous about. I am worried my work will not give me the time. Plus, like you, I'm in December and it's hard with the holidays included.
I say, if your work will let you take all that time, take it !!!!

I'm taking about 3 weeks.
My wedding is June 5th.
I'm taking June 3rd and 4th off, and then June 7th. I'll be back at work from June 8-10, and then we leave for our HM on June 11 and don't come back until June 26th.
ETA: When I put in for my time off, my boss was like 'You realize this is almost a month!' I said 'I know, but *hopefully* this only happens once!'

similar situation... getting married on nov 7th, takin off the 3rd 4th and 5th through the 20th, then its only a 3 day work week cuz of turkey day.... and yeah i think it is kinda pushing it cuz then id be out the entire month pretty much .. the way i see it is ill kinda be easing back into work lol

ITA. I'd go in for the three days since they will probably be nothing days anyway!
I'm taking off 12 days total. May 10th-May 25th!!

I actually spoke to my boss at the beginning of the month just to get it out of the way and thankfully he was ok with it - I'm taking from 8/25-9/10 and coming back to work on the 13th. I told my boss that I need 2 1/2 weeks and he says 'I hope you realize that's practically 3 weeks' lol but he was cool with it and put it in his calendar. I can't freaking wait! lol

I'm taking off 3 weeks!!!!!
I wanted to tag on as many weekends to our honeymoon as possible. We're getting married on a Sunday, October 10. Monday is Columbus Day so my office is closed. We're leaving for our honeymoon on Wednesday night. I'll return to work on Monday, November 1!
It was approved so I'm all good! And FH gets an extra 5 days off for getting married that he MUST use immediately.

I'm taking about 16 works days off (about 3 weeks)
Last day is the Tuesday before my wedding (9/28), and won't be back until the Thursday after HM (10/21).
My company actually gives us an extra week off when we get married, for our HMs!

I was nervous about having enough time too... but my new job was oerfectly fine with the time I wanted so I'm taking off September 29th - Oct 1st before the wedding and then the following Monday, October 4th through Friday October 15th.
I say do what you have planned, those three days will be painless. It won't seem like you're gone as long to your boss and you'll spend them showing people pictures and telling them about your honeymoon.

I'm off 6/10 through 7/2 and that's a 3 day holiday weekend so I won't be back until 7/6. Almost an entire month!!

i'm taking off july 15th and 16th and then we'll be on our honeymoon from the 19th to 28th and i'll go back on the 29th (friday)

I took 3 weeks offs.
I have to say I thought at first I was taking too much time before the wedding, (i took the three days prior off) but it was soooooooooooo worth it. I cannot stress enought how thankful I was to have those days off prior with all the running around, it was great. And I had two holidays off during those three weeks...so it was almost 3 1/2 weeks off.

Wedding is Friday the 17th. I'm taking off from Sept 13th and coming Back October 4th.
I can take up to 3 weeks vacation straight through.
