my ta..and other ta's i spoke to said that hotels cant gaurantee king sized beds..... so when you check in you just have to ask to get a king bed..that they only assure a double.
well i hate this!! how can we have honeymoon snookie in a double bed when we are both almost 6 feet tall??
i hear its common practice..but it makes me nervous .... i dont wanna be kicking at each other all night!! lol
anyone heard of this?

I've never heard of this. I guess it depends where you go. With our honeymoon we were told they ONLY had king beds. Guess it depends on the place. Good luck with your snookie!

i had that issue, too. i kept up on them and told my TA i wanted a king size bed and she put the request in. i also called the hotel 2 times in the week before the wedding to remind them and i reminded them at check in. i got a king bed.

Wow. I've never heard of that at a resort. I kind of thought they all had king beds. When we cruised it was funny b/c it was two twins pushed together! One of us were always in the 'hole'.
As for the ta, my aunt is a ta, and they are hesitant to promise anything that could possibly not come true, that is why she won't guarntee it.
Don't stress about the bed. My DH is 6'4' and we don't worry about these type of things. It is just undue stress.

Most hotels do not guarantee bed types. It is only a request. I do know that if if book a Marriott and do it directly on their site, the bed type is guaranteed. Hope this helps!

That's correct! Some 'vacation' or 'couple' resort only have king size bed.

That happened to us when we went to Vegas last year. Then they tried to sell us an upgrade to a more expensive room, we had to wait about 3 hours to get a king room, b/c they told us that the reservation is only a 'request'. To me, that is just stupid, but i go along with the games and when i found out my hotel changed hands, i immediately went over the TA's head an emailed the resort and told them i was worried about the changeover, so they are already prepared for me and gave me some upgrades already
