vacations in NAPA VALLEY

anyone take a vacation here? thinking about different HM ideas, and this came to mind. how does this usually work? do you stay in a different hotel everynight?

anyone work with a travel agent who has arranged something like this before?

TIA!!!

last year we did a 10 day CA trip, driving up coast from LA to San Francisco, and moving every few days.

It included 2 or 3 nights in Napa. We stayed at a cottage, secluded, with it's own hottub. Google 'Deer Run' in Glen Ellen, CA. Privacy was great, the hot tub was amazing, very beautiful.

One of our favorite vineyards out there was Chateau St. Jean. Sterling was nice, as well.

I think a whole honeymoon in Napa might get boring, you should probably move and visit another area, even if it's just Napa/Sonoma and San Francisco (which is about an hour away).

FH and I celebrated our engagement in Napa & San Fran. We spent 2.5 days in Napa and 2.5 in San Fran. Would have liked 1 more day in Napa, but as Tracey says, you can't stay there too long. You'll get bored!

FM me if you want recos for wineries and food. We had some amazing meals out there. The food is just as good as the wine.

do you drive to the vineyards? do you see a lot of vineyards in one day? just curious for how that would work

yes you drive. i would see no more than 3 or 4 in a day.

you could also hire a limo to drive you around, but pricey.

Our Inn had an offer in which they drive you to 3 or 4 wineries and provide lunch for $100 p/p. We ended up being the only couple, so we were able to go to 5 wineries and the trip was completely customized to our tastes. We also had an amazing driver that took us to little, boutique places that sold wine you can't get in NY.

If you drive yourself, be very careful. After 5 tastings, we were in no condition to get behind a wheel!

We went for a pre-hm bc my fh is starts his residency 5 days b4 the wedding starts. It was alot of fun. We drove around but as the other girl said its not smart. The first day we went to like 6 vineyards and it hit us all at once. We actually went to Sonoma. Its the same as Napa but a lot more friendly and much cheaper. The wines there were amazing! It was a lot of fun but idk if I would do it for a hm. I think hm I think tropical or Europe. It was a fun trip though! If you want more info on what we did when we were there FM me.

Yeah, I would def hit Sonoma and Napa both. Sonoma was more mellow, laid back, and we preferred it.
