So because FH is a teacher... we want to try to do our honeymoon during the holiday break. We don't care if we're gone or traveling on Christmas OR New Year's.
Has anyone done this? Or have any tips/suggestions on when would be the best dates are to fly?
How far south do we have to go in order for it to absolutely be hot weather?

if you can, i'd avoid going at the same exact times that schools get out. My mom is a teacher and when we go on family vacations, flight prices are always extremely high unless she takes a day or two off from work before her vacation time.
i went to Florida 2 years ago at the end of December and it was in the high 70's .... it'll be warm out just about anywhere you go, no worries

we have to go when he's out. he's already having to take time off for the wedding because we have to travel to michigan.

our friends did this cause she is a teacher. they went to tahite, bora bora, morea and left on christmas eve and were gone 2 weeks! they loved it... and the weather was great?!

This is just a guess...but you might get the best price if you actually leave on christmas day.

From what I remember its actually really expensive (and totally hectic and annoying and overcrowded) to fly on Christmas Day

last year I went away to Jamaica around New Years I left the day after and they dropped the prices, and it wasn't extremely crowded and the weather was mid 80s everyday. I have also been to Florida for Christmas time, but the weather can be in the 70s but then you can also get those days where its cool.
