Vegas: I personally like the Luxor (the pyramid portion)
Other cheap vacation: Niagara Falls. Only 1.5 hours from LI (1 hour flight to Buffalo + 30 minutes drive).

I have stayed at the Paris the two times I have been there. Really nice hotel. My SM stayed at the Aladdin.

Vegas - if you want luxurt, Bellagio / Venetian. If you want nice but not cha-ching, MGM or Paris. Of course, everything may be more expensive that weekend because it is V day. Maybe a trip down to Florida? Fly into Miami and drive to the Keys?
What kind of places do you like to visit? Beach, historical (ha!), party etc?

Our favorite destination is Costa Rica. I am not really feeling a beach vacation with my recent weight gain... I think I may just have to stop eating grilled cheese...
