I don't know LOL

I like my Bagless because it has the hepa filter. You can see hoew much dirt it is picking up and its easier to change. A bag is a pain in the arse to change IMO

I on the other had DO NOT want to see what I'm sucking up or come in close contact with it.
I say bag!
I've got the Kenmore cherry red canister vac. that has a HEPA filter in it as well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. You can only find it at Sears.

And for all your appliances, I'd reccomend Sears becuase you can bargain with them!

I've had both.... I currently have a bagless and I have to say that you really have to look into the bagless' design. The Dirt Devil vision that I have now, is just a plain mess. I have asthma and no one else in my household will empty the bin so I am constantly choking on dust and dirt and it almost always sends me into a series of attacks.

I like the idea of a bagless, you don't have to worry about having the bags on hand, or where to buy them... which is just a hassle to me.

I want to try a Dyson (bagless), they are supposed to be designed a lot better. I also want to look into an Oreck (bag) and see if that lives up any of its claims.

I have the Dirt Devil Vision and I like it. The Dyson is Awesome but its like 400.00 I do have to admit that vision is a pain to get the dust out sometimes. I saw on the HOME SHOPPING CHANNEL LOL (I some times catch mysel watching but have never bought) they had the Phantom on and it has a lever that u push and it pushes all the dirt out. Which is a good idea.

The phantom is a great machine!!

Basically, if you are going to go bagless, try to find one where the filter is not actually in the collector bin itself. It will save you from frequent 'hands on' cleaning.

I hada baggless and hated it. It just didn't seem to work all that well, so I went bag to bags. JMO.

By the way, I forgot what type of baggless I had, sorry.

i had a bagless and like other people mentioned it was an absolute disaster to clean and the filter was constantly clogged. i did like that it was super light and really small though. now i have a bag one and it's okay but it's really loud, it's a dirt devil, but i'm not sure of the exact model.

As explained to me when I went to buy one about two months, if you have a pet you need a bag. It apparently will not get all the hair if you aren't bagged. Also, when I had a vacuum with no bag, I did see a lot more dust in the vacuum itself and had to clean it inside-it was gross. I am a neat freak-I vacuum almost every day. The bag seemed to be cleaner. Yikes, I need to get a life!

ditto...also you can see if there is a clog somewhere, whereas with most 'bag' vacuums you have to take it apart.

I have the bagless and I hate it. I think I should add a bag one to our registry.

No bag. Saves money in buying bags as clean up is easier.

THeone we have doesn't have a bag. THe only con do it, every once in a while, you have to clean t he dust off the filter. We love the vacuum. We got it in Sears.

I have both and prefer the Electrolux with the bag. It's so easy to change the bag - just drop in the bag with a cardboard collar and close the lid - there is nothing to clip, attach, etc. And no dust or junk to fly around when you change bags.

On the otherhand, my small bagless that I use for touchups, while easy to empty, always leaves dust floating around when I empty it in the trash can. I've never had a clogging problem as others mentioned, but I don't like the dusty feel I get when emptying it.

If I had to choose I'd definately go for the one with a bag.

bag - no bag means the dust can fly all over when throwing it out - it's contained in the bag if you choose that.

I always found it easier with a bag.
