Valenia and any other Carlyle brides

Are you blocking hotels? If so, who are you using? Do you know the closest hotel to the Carlyle? Thanks! Continued success!

Heather...

I blocked rooms at the Days Inn (it's either in Hicksville or Bethpage) it's exactly 7 minutes from Carlyle (but I don't have good things to say about it) especially the resturant attached Delany's - so if I was you I'd stay away from there and look elsewhere...

Heather...

The Carlyle recommended the Marriot Residence Inn of Plainview. I'll probably do that and the Executive Inn of Woodbury since my parents are in Woodbury. I haven't thought about it too much yet!

hotels

I've looked into the following hotels: Huntington Hilton Melville Marriott Holiday Inn(Plainview) Windwatch Islandia Marriott Holiday Inn Express Hampton Inn(Commack) I want to offer my guests a choice of three hotels in different price ranges. ($/$$/$$$) I also want something that is located near the Carlyle or the church in Patchogue. I got the best price form Hampton Inn($125 a night), then came the Hilton, Holiday Inn, and Holiday Express at $139. I plan to stay away from the Mariott because they hold you responsible for the rooms that don't book. Meaning if you block 20 and only 15 fill up, you must pay for the other 5. This is only the case with Mariott. I was just curious if there were any hotels I was over looking.Any feedback will help! Continued success!

For Out-of-Town guests...

The Long Island Convention and Visitor's Bureau...http://licvb.com/ It's got a wealth of information for out-of-town guests, including where to stay, what to do if they are planning to stay for a couple of days, etc. You can search for hotel properties by region on LI. Hope it helps and good luck. (I used Hampton Inn, and our guests were very happy w/accommodations). :)
