what are your plans for valentines day? FH and i dont really usually make a big fuss about it but i want to do something thoughtful/special for him this year bc he rocks

hmm ok i know it sounds corny but John did this for me one time...for no occassion..and then i did it back.
write out a list of the 100 things you love about him. We each saved it and from time to time I re-read it and it makes me smile and laugh. It also is a nice way to bring up old memories.

i didnt bribe him...he did it on his own one day. it was actually his idea. i did it after he gave me his...a week or so later i made one for him. FH is a mush..he likes telling me how much he loves me. Its great

every v-day i get him a massage gift certificate b/c he loves those, along with a reeses heart (he loves resses!). i think this will be our 6th v-day together w/ the same gift ive given him LOL... and he usually takes me out to dinner someplace, we have some interesting stories from year to year on very bad restaurants to avoid LOL...

we are making a 4 day weekend out of it (which just so happens to include v-day) i'm off from work and he's taking off too. we are going to this dinner and dancing thing at lombardi's on the sound cuz it seems fun and i love their food. then the next day going to the city to our favorite sushi restaurant, and then going up to vermont to ski for the rest of the weekend

FH and i have never done anything big for V-Day because my b-day, our anniversary, and christmas just passed.
Normally our gift is something crafty to one another and then dinner.
This year i think we are going up to hunter mountain skiing with friends.

we hate valentines day too generally (stupid scheme by the greeting card industry to turn a profit during mid winter!!!)...but since that will be one year till the big day we are going to simply fondue (similar to the melting pot) and they have a really nice v-day special. Lol everyone thinks its funny that I hate v-day and that is going to be our wedding day...but the way we see it we never have to celebrate the silly holiday ever again...
