What do you think about a Valetine's destination wedding? For most of the Caribbean the ideal travel time is Dec-Apr. Getting married on Valentine's day would be cool but do you think guests would find it inconvienent? Thanks! A lot of people we plan to invite are couples, so maybe they can celebrate too and we can all have a romantic dinner that night for my wedding reception.

i don't think that anyone really considers valentine's day to be a huge holiday so i doubt anyone would be inconvenienced by going to a wedding on that date.

I totally wouldn't mind attending a VDay wedding.
The only thing is that Vday usually falls with President's Day weekend and flights/hotels are more expensive.

Going to the Carribean around Valentine's day is VERY expensive which is something you should consider for your guests.
I went to the Dominican republic over Valetines Day last year and that week was considerably more than any other week of the winter.

If I was invited I would definetly go!!!! It's valentines you want to be with the person you love and you will get to go on a little vacation. I think it will be perfect. More people might want to go then.

This is what I meant.
Any hotel is going to jack up their rates bc every couple will want to go away. If your friends are ok financially, then it should be no problem.

Valentine's Day weekend is always really expensive, even within the US (normal hotel rooms were jacked up to $500+ when we went to LA one year).....just something to consider but do what is best for YOU and what you want.
