Don't laugh but the mall was already putting up things for V day..

Even Genovese had all the things already....

I went to CVS on Sunday and they were stocking the shelves with candy hearts and whatnot...I couldnt believe it.. I dont really care too much for valentines day.,, just a nice dinner the two of us.. and if he really wants to buy me a gift, i wont stop him!! LOL but i tell him Every year NO ROSES, i cant believe the prices of the roses every year...NOT WORTH IT

It is on a Friday this year- yeah!!!!

We might just go out for a nice dinner and dancing.

I am going to start looking into restaurants to make reservations.

These retail businesses are ridiculous! I already saw Easter dresses at Macy's yesterday! Before you know it, Graduation will be posted and as soon as schools over, it's Back to School again! These places rush everything! Because then we're back at Christmas before we know it!

Valentine's Day is my birthday ... so as a kid, I use to love when they put the Valentine's stuff out after Christmas, that meant my birthday was coming! :-)

That's a long weekend ... I think President's day is the Monday following - I would love to go away, but it's not feasible this year.

I agree with Suzanne ... hubby is not allowed to buy me flowers on Valentine's day because of the unbelievable mark-up. I rather flowers for no occassion!

I also always tell my husband not to buy me flowers for valentines Day. The mark up is ridiculous. I would rather have them for no particular occasion as a surprise.

Cafe des Artistes is also very nice. FI took me there one Valentine's Day.

My absolute favorite place is La Grenouille. Very romantic!!

Oh come on now! I just finished Christmas shopping, b'day shopping for his father and my mother, this weekend shop for his mother's b'day and then I also have to b'day shop for HIM!!! You want me to figure out a Valentine's Day gift now????

Does it ever end???? LOL

Personally, I never liked Valentine's Day because my grandmother died on that day , but we'll probably order in or go out to eat or something! As for gift, I guess I'll get him a Playstation 2 Game, since I'll be buying PS2 for his b'day!!

The Blue Water Grill is also great. The food is awesome and nice atmosphere. I got engaged there!
