I think that over the last however long I've NWRed it, I've made it clear that I don't celebrate non-holiday holidays.
And now that I'm married, I totally don't do the V-day.
However, I do accept lingerie on 2/14 (hint for Naunie and Co.).
Do you celebrate/acknowledge/just do the deed on 2/14? Or is it any other day?

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
we just cook dinner at home.
don't believe in it as a 'special' day. we have our own random holidays for celebration.
we do buy cards however, b/c I am a card whore, and they are pretty.

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
I use it as an excuse to make him take me out to dinner. It can be te weekend before or after V day. I am the card anti-whore. I never buy cards.

We'll do cards and I'll probably get flowers and candy. But we're not going to do anything special. I bought him an iPod shuffle this weekend and called it his V-day gift, but really it was just 'cause he wanted an iPod and we were at the mall.
dude....was it worth the price of admission to LIF. I am upset. you never commented

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
JW bought a Canon Rebel XTI camera for me. We are amateur (VERY) photographers. It is our new hobby and he surprised me with the camera before I left for this trip.
We normally don't do anything for V day. Other than it is a free pass for

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
V-Day is 4 days before my anniversary now so anything is possible. We are going away the following weekend to celebrate that. I dont have the heart to expect anything or spend money when we are trying to save for important things. We will more than likely have a really nice dinner out.

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
Never celebrated it, always hated the commercialization and 'competition' that it seems to bring. That's not what my love is about.
Last night Kevin realized it falls during the week again, we've never been able to recognize it 'properly' bc of work. However, we do take the time to grab dinner together even if it's just fast food while he's on break. We don't exchange gifts but I sometimes bake for him.
Then when he gets home he might have a surprise waiting for him.

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
DH sends flowers to my job every year, but always varies it so that I never wind up with a run-of-the-mill dozen roses.
He'll most likely have a box of caramels and a card too. I bought his card weeks ago. It's within 2 weeks of his birthday and our dating anniversary so we usually just roll it all up into one.
Kat, holy CRAP that is a freakin nice camera!! It's nicer than mine. Anytime you wanna get geek with me about photography, I'm game.
And when you get a Flickr album up, let me know and I'll add you to my friends list.

Re: Valentine's Day - what say you?
We celebrate it. It makes the winter fun. We give each other cute/naughty cards, make something yummy and get a bottle of champgne. After last year's reservation hell we do not go out.

We don't really celebrate it. We swap cards and gifts we don't need like CDs, Books and our favorite candy bars. Done.

I became IO to this holiday like 7 years ago.
Although, I do get my niece a Valentine. It's like a big holiday to her.

I have to admit I do love this holiday. We just can't decide what we want to do this year.
