the RH my FH loves doesn't have it. I personally don't care. The lot isnt so huge that it will be an issue. he wants to hire a company? ***?
Any opinions?

Re: valet parking???
If it's a huge parking lot you could do valet because people may not want to walk all the way to their cars afterward. But if the parking lot is like literally right next to the where the entrance is I don't think it's necessary. We are not providing valet either because the parking is like right there!

My RH has it. Personally I didn't think it was a big deal either but another bride posted a thread about it not too long ago and it seemed like the general concensus was that it was a semi big deal. Alot of people as guests, said they didn't want to walk in heels etc.
Shrug. I wouldn't think it was a biggie as a guest at all whether there was valet or not. JMO

Re: valet parking???
i agree.. i dont think it's a big deal and if the only complaint is that the girls have to walk father in heels... then have their man drop them off at the front door.
it's the parking lot is close, i wouldn't worry too much.

Re: valet parking???
It's not really a big deal to me when, last wedding we went to alot of people did not realize there was valet parking cause it was across the street and no one seemed to mind.

yeah, that was my post .... everyone said it was a terrible terrible idea and that they'd be upset by it.
personally, i hate valet so i wouldn't mind not seeing it.
and if your guests drive their cars into the lake, well that's not your fault

damn..did he pay everyone to side with him? lol
I don't even know if the RH would even offer it. I just thought, whatever...of course he has ANOTHER expense he wants to add on.
Oh well, if he wants to book there, he has to deal with no valet I guess.

Re: valet parking???
i used to have a lot of friends that worked as a valet boy... and honestly, if you had any idea what they do to/in your cars while your inside celebrating your wedding...you wouldn't want valet either.

know what's really hypocritical? FH hates letting anyone park his car and usually avoids valet. lol, this must be mentioned to him.

I do not think that it is a huge deal. ESPECIALLY because the parking is close.

Re: valet parking???
personally I don't care about valet. I actually dislike valet you have to sit there and wait for your car its annoying. If my RH has it great if not no biggie. Thats the least of my concerns. OH and if anyone drives there car into the water they really shouldn't have been driving in the first place.

Re: valet parking???
Are you doing it at Land's end? As soon as you said water, I assumed it was there.
Honestly, I do not think it is a big deal. I ahve gone to many weddings without valet parking and it hasn't been a big deal. Also, I have been to land's end (if that's where you are doing it, sounds like it when you said FH is worried they will drive into the water lol) many times(every year for 10 years) for FD dinners, sweet 16's etc, and I assure you, no one has driven into the water lol and the parking lot is big enough to hold all of the cars, but still close enough to the door.

I dont think it a big deal if it is close to the door. I went looking at RH and we when to Coral House ( what a waste of time) they have a parking lot across the street , I mean busy main street. I have grandparents that are in their 90s- I couldnt see them walking or dodging that traffic- Just keep in mind the ages and well being of the guests.

yep! that's the place! I'm so annoyed at FH today that I told him I'm not marrying him! lol. He's such a freaking brat honestly. IF I book anything, we'll do it in the next 2 weeks I think.
