Since you're considering separates, what about making the skirts and buying a top? Do you or any of the Mom's or bridal party sew? That was my solution since I have bridesmaids ranging from a tall, thin size 4 to a pear-shaped size 18+ and they live in 3 different states - none of them where I am.
