Vanderbilt Mansion

Hi. I have my reception booked at the Fox Hollow already, but I'm starting to second guess myself. I decided to look at a few more places, and was very happy to find that the Vanderbilt mansion is in my price range. I was very surprised since most other mansion properties are alot more expensive. Does anyone have any feedback, I haven't seen many posts about it? Thanks!

Mansion is supposed to be really nice. Price is good also. I think it might be a A Lovin Oven place- same as Flowerfield and Land's End among others. Check it out and then make your decision.

Re: Vanderbilt Mansion

I'm getting married there in June 2003. Lovin' Oven is the caterers there. I loved the fact that the mansion had a beautiful courtyard, the great lawn facing the water, a grand ballroom and the conservatory for indoor ceremonies. From what I've heard so far, the food is supposed to be great. I know of two other brides on this board who are having their wedding there; one had her wedding on 9/21/02 so I'm hoping she posts soon and another next week.

I'm going to a wedding there next sat...I'll report back...I think it is for smaller weddings...I favor the one wedding at a time at vanderbilt...

Re: Vanderbilt Mansion

I also like the fact that there is only one wedding at time. That's the main reason we are reconsidering the Fox Hollow.
Thanks for all of the input!
